Realtor raffles off Botox to attract clients
There's no denying the fact that the real estate business can be a tough one, especially during these difficult economic times. A realtor from Southern California is trying to set his listing apart from the rest by raffling off $300 worth of Botox injections at an open house.
The Orange County Register reports that realtor Michael Gardner got the idea for the give-away from the swag suites at the Hollywood awards shows.
"They may not admit it, but both sexes will want to win that Botox!'' the newspaper reports Gardner wrote in his blog. "Agents may come for the swag, but they'll remember the house too."
In addition to the Botox raffle, other perks visitors to the nearly $8.5 million dollar Beverly Hills home can expect poolside Thai massages, gourmet food and test drives of the new Audi A8.
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), more than 2.4 million people had Botox injections in 2010, making it the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure.
ASAPS reports that the average price for a Botox injection treatment in the U.S. is $398 and injections need to be repeated every three to six months for best results. Winners of raffles and contests that give out cosmetic surgery or injectables as prizes should make sure the doctors are board-certified in their specialties and work out of accredited facilities. What might seem like a good deal could end up being a costly ordeal.
